Planner/Scheduler

Our client, one of the UK's leading mobile vehicle repair specialists, are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and customer-centric Planner/Sceduler to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working in a close-knit team, the Planner/Scheduler is there to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible (and fix things when it doesn't!).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support to the field based technicians with information, changes and re-planning of repairs.
  • Deliver fantastic customer service over the phone and by email.
  • Solving customer problems in relation to planning repairs within desired timescales.
  • Performing multiple daily tasks such as importing jobs into the planning system and adhoc planning methods (each of these will have full extensive training provided).
  • Monitoring various technician/customer mailboxes and updating the systems as appropriate.
  • Ability to review, spot problems, and make changes where and when necessary in the planned shifts.
  • Working as a team to achieve maximum planning efficiency.
  • Good geographical knowledge and ability to work with in house systems (Full training will be provided for all systems involved).
  • Regular communication with the technicians, customer service team and the management team, to help achieve efficient planning.
  • Ability to spot areas of improvement's, and then work collaboratively together to improve the support for technicians and customer journey.

The role of Planner would suit someone who is organised, enjoys delivering a great customer service and can lead with solutions.

The ideal experience / background for the Planner is:

  • A proven record of achieving outstanding customer service by phone and email.
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Have the ability to multi-task and have good attention to detail.
  • Logical and methodical approaches to work
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Previous experience with shift or logistical planning would be an advantage, but not essential.
