Our client is currently looking for a stores operative to join their expanding team. They have a busy warehouse where they process incoming deliveries, update stock levels and pull together orders large and small for packing and shipping. They are now looking for a new Stores Operative to assist with all duties in the warehouse including handling incoming and outgoing stock, dealing with orders and using their in-house stock, order, and shipping systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Stock Control Manager to ensure stock levels are maintained in accordance with company guidelines, orders are processed and dispatched on time.
The client is one of the country’s leading installers and suppliers within their field. Established in 2000 originally as a small family business, it has gone from strength to strength and now has nationwide coverage dealing with large well known clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Support Stock Control Manager in their day to day duties
·Receive and thoroughly check all stock deliveries
·Maintain and update systems with the latest inbound stock information
·Perform regular stock checks and reconciliations
·Occasional requirement to make deliveries to customer sites
Essential skills and experience:
·Numerate and good with written English
·Full clean driving licence
·Familiar with spreadsheets and Microsoft office IT packages
·Capable of multi-tasking whilst being highly organised and methodical in their work
·Self-motived and able to work alone as well as part of a small dynamic team
·Keen eye for detail
·Happy to get involved in multiple aspects of the business and help colleagues outside of their specific remit
·Personable and the ability to work effectively with others at all levels
·Good numerical skills
