Support Technician 1st 2nd line support

My client a well-established Leeds based IT company who provides IT support to the education and private sectors are looking for an IT support technician.

Based full time in a large Bradford school reporting to the Network Manager you'll role will involve both 1st and 2nd line support. An ideal role for someone looking to advance their career.

We are looking for a well-rounded technician with excellent communication skills who will be working to ensure staff & pupils receive the highest level of service possible. The candidate would need to share the schools committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff & students via telephone, in person and via the e-mail helpdesk.
  • Ensure all jobs are logged within the helpdesk and faults, problems are quickly rectified
  • Carry out fault-finding, repair where possible, liaise with third party providers if necessary
  • Ensure that the IT equipment is fully functioning and perform regular maintenance
  • Support the schools' audio-visual systems, solve projector and interactive whiteboard issues
  • Provide guidance to teachers and pupils on the use of IT equipment and software when required and ensure that users are compliant with the schools IT Policies
  • Install and configure new hardware and software as required
  • Assist the Network Manager in implementing changes to infrastructure and services
  • Ensure IT asset & procurement policies are enforced and regularly checked for compliance
  • Ensure safeguarding, IT & data protection policies are implemented and adhered to
  • Providing IT support for events that occur out of 'normal' school hours as required, such as parent information evening, open days.
  • Providing IT support for events such as assemblies, presentations, meetings, as required.
  • Participation in school safeguarding training and adherence to procedures.
  • Supporting school expectations of students' behaviour and conduct, as would be expected from an employee.

Essential Experience

  • Technical familiarity with IT hardware - must be able to identify and replace components in standard desktops and laptops
  • Windows 10, Windows Server, Office 365, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Understanding of networking principles and associated hardware (switches, routers, firewalls etc)
  • Experience with using Windows Server operating systems and associated services, including:
  • Active Directory / ADFS,GrDNS, DHCP,NTFS permissions & security

Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory,Powershell
  • Knowledge of Chromebooks, G-Suite and Google Classroom,802.1x / RADIUS
  • Experience with virtualisation (either VMWare or HyperV)SCCM/WDS/MDT/WSUS
  • Experience working in a school environment

Hours: Monday - Friday

Salary: £19,000.00-£21,000.00 DOE

  • Payroll Officer
    £23000 - £26000 per annum

    Our client is a well established and growing firm of accountants based in Bradford city centre. Due to expansion they are now looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team.

    Working alongside one other Payroll Officer you will be responsible for completing timely and accurate payroll submissions on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis for a variety of clients. Previous experience within an accountancy practice is highly desirable. Duties and responsibilities will include:

    Running client weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, ensuring that clients are paid accurately and on time, whilst adhering to standard procedures Production of payslips and reportsDispatching to each client according to their individual requirementsSending BACS payments as required Year-end processing Setting up procedures for individual clients according to their needs Liaise with clients on a regular basis Check and input statutory payments ie.     Our client, a pioneering engineering company, are seeking a temporary Purchasing Administrator for a 3 month contract. Joining the Yeadon office, you will be joining a friendly and inclusive team to support the purchasing department during a busy period.

    Supporting a team of buyers, you will work in a varied role to cover all aspects of administration. Key responsibilities will include:

    Identifying buying requirements from department requisition and raise purchase orders. Accurately maintain supplier and material database. Troubleshooting daily supply issues, whilst maintaining professional internal and external communication.     My client, a specialist financial services organisation, have an opportunity for Administrators to join them on a temporary basis.

    This role is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in financial services, or who has finished University / studies and looking for a temporary role to build upon their experience.

    Joining the consumer claims team, the role of Administrator is to support on a project moving data from one system to another. Your duties will include:

    Proofing data sets, including quotes from financial products and customer accounts. Checking invoicing details and quotations. Supporting with data entry into the new system, ensuring a high level of accuracy. Amending pricing to reflect current quotations and company guidelines.Delivering a professional, personal and helpful approach. Ad hoc tasks when required.

    Working as part of a friendly and welcoming team, you'll need to be:
