The Content Manager is responsible for both managing and creating content within the content functions, for both the business and their clients.
Responsibilities will cover the development of impactful and engaging copy and social content; ensuring our clients’ and internal social feeds are elevated and optimised.
The role is home based however there will be a requirement to work out of the York office up to two days per week.
Social Media/ Content Responsibilities
Create and curate amazing imagery across the platforms aligned with the brand and business goals for clients and the business
Use your amazing copywriting skills to engage and get those all important clicks!
Devise and deliver organic and paid social campaigns, ensuring consistent ROI
Work with the rest of the team to drive strategy and engagement of followers
Plan and schedule all social content and drive different content across the various social channels to engage audiences.
Maintain the “the tone” across all social media platforms in support of all products and services and to drive business and consumer engagement (as appropriate)
Audit and analysis of social media presence, including digital advertising costs, returns and competitors
Make use of tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine areas for improvement
Manage and record the social media budget
Assist with general day to day administration tasks
Produce a monthly report on the performance of internal social media and use this data to make suggestions for improvement and implement
Work with the wider team to produce monthly client campaign reports for wider campaigns
Monitor and develop reports on competitor activity within social media spaces
Monitor the effectiveness of our own company email campaigns
Manage key clients
Ensure the client’s needs and output are met and project work is met on time and within budget
Strive to deliver an exceptional level of customer service at all times
Create engaging monthly newsletters for the business
Blog post creation
What You Will Bring
Degree in Marketing/English/PR/Communications/Journalism or similar discipline preferred
2-3 plus years content marketing experience
You will be highly engaged in social networking sites and have a good understanding of changes in the landscape
Superior writing and editing skills and strong proofreading and grammar skills with a proven ability to create unique and compelling positioning and messaging, a real eye for an interesting story or angle.
Demonstrated knowledge of how to maintain and grow a social media presence across array of networks and technologies.
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Passionate and driven with a ‘can do’ attitude. A demonstrated willingness to roll-up sleeves and do what it takes to drive success
Not afraid to pick up the telephone and chase an opportunity or even write a press release if necessary!
A willingness to learn and be open to new ideas
Experience of Adobe Creative Suite, in particular Photoshop and InDesign is ideal but not essential
