We are recruiting for a Head of Estates and Facilities Management for our client, a successful Academy Trust, with 3 schools in the Bradford area. The purpose of the role will be to lead and manage the estates and facilities management strategy and function, supporting the Chief Executive and Directors. To lead and co-ordinate all estate related matters across the schools network and manage outsourced estates services. The key responsibilities of the Head of Estates and Facilities Management will include: ·Developing the overall estates and facilities management strategy for the Trust as it grows and develops, advising and supporting the Chief Executive and Trustees on the long term capital strategy ·Implementing the estates and facilities management services and overseeing asset management planning ·Securing funding, site acquisition, project set up and deliver, design development, planning and consultation through to post project completion ·To be part of the senior management team to develop and deliver transformational school ·To provide advice and support on facilities management issues, tendering, procurement, monitoring and management of FM services ·Manage and develop policies and guidance on health and safety including periodic reviews ·Oversee insurance arrangements and be the single point of contact for out-sourced insurance advisors ·Contribute to the leadership of the Trust and ongoing projects as required Essential Qualifications, Experience and Abilities will include: ·Graduate or equivalent in a formal Management, Building or Facilities Management qualification ·Experience of programme, project, contract and estates management including health and safety ·Experience working across multiple sites, ideally in an educational environment with a multi-million pound capital programme is highly desirable ·In-depth knowledge of current estates legislation and working knowledge of a range of hard and safe FM services required by schools on a daily basis ·Ability to work as part of a team with good written and verbal communication skills and strong ICT skills ·Ability to prioritise conflicting requirements in a demanding and ever changing environment ·Personal resilience, persistence and perseverance and the adaptability to change and embrace innovation and creativity Candidates will be required to demonstration evidence of the above requirements both in their CV and at interview.
